Dental Crowns by SOLAY DENTAL

Teeth with extensive damage that affects their structural integrity and ability to function correctly might benefit from the fabrication and placement of a custom dental crown.

Dental crowns are commonly used in general and restorative dentistry to offer an extra layer of protection and strength. At the same time, they are made of biocompatible and beautiful materials such as porcelain to ensure they look just like the rest of the natural teeth. Also known as caps, dental crowns are used over the visible crown of the natural tooth structure.

Our Process

To prepare for dental crowns,  your dentist, Drs. Jesus L. Sojo or Shiva Soleimani, will remove enamel from all sides of the tooth. Then, impressions create a mold of the natural tooth structure to ensure the final restoration will fit precisely in place. Finally, a ceramist fabricates the new restoration in a laboratory based on the dentist’s instructions on size, shape, and color to create a custom-created restoration for the patient.

Patients return to the dental office to have the crown bonded and obtain information on how to properly care for their crown to ensure it lasts as long as possible!

Dental Bridges by SOLAY DENTAL

Dental patients of Oldsmar, FL and surrounding communities who are missing teeth may want to take time to learn about the benefits of dental bridges.

Dental bridges are restorations made to replace one or more teeth in a row. These porcelain restorations use false teeth (pontics) fused to crowns. The adjacent teeth will support the dental bridge to allow the false teeth to rest in the place where they are needed.

Preparations are similar to dental crowns, where the adjacent teeth are prepared before taking impressions and creating the restoration at a dental laboratory with specific instructions.

Patients then return to our dental office to have the final restorations cemented over the supporting teeth. Patients might also consider dental implants when they do not have teeth on one or both sides to hold the bridge. Dental bridges are custom-made and will last several years with proper care and attention from the patient and dental team.
